Barcode Registration
Our EAN-13 and UPC barcode packages include free registration on the International Barcodes Database. This allows you to register your product and company details alongside the barcode number.
Note: Barcode registration is free with our EAN-13 or UPC barcodes. If you already have barcodes from other sources and wish to register them, please purchase barcode registration here.
Benefits of Barcode Registration
While barcode registration is optional, it provides significant advantages:
- Increased product visibility on smartphone apps: Registered barcodes appear on apps like the Zebra app, making your product details accessible when scanned. Learn more about barcode scanning apps.
- Enhanced online presence: Registered barcodes improve online searchability, helping retailers and customers find your product and company details. Information will appear on the IBN Verified global registry and in search engines like Google.
- Protection against misuse: Registration acts as proof of ownership, discouraging unauthorized use of your barcode, especially on platforms like Amazon.
- Validation for retailers: Barcode registration can serve as proof of legitimacy, address retailer concerns, and save time in verification.
Barcode registration offers added protection against unauthorized use and helps customers and retailers verify your product and business details.
How to Register Your Barcodes
After purchasing barcodes, you will receive an email with your barcodes and registration instructions. Follow the instructions to register your barcode and product/company details on the International Barcodes Database. Your barcodes will also be listed on IBNREG.org.
Upon registration, your product details will appear in online search results and on certain smartphone apps. Note that some apps, such as those used on Amazon, may have limited databases, while others, like the Zebra app, search multiple sources.
